Grease Monkey Transfers Ownership of Seven Stores to Largest Franchisee Group

Seven stores in Arizona and Colorado have been signed over to Oilex Operating, LLC, the brand’s largest franchisee group.

The ownership of seven Grease Monkey stores in Arizona and Colorado have been signed over to Oilex Operating, LLC, the brand’s largest franchisee group, according to a press release.

Oilex President Ron Morrow, Jr. has been involved with the Grease Monkey brand for decades, his father having once been the largest franchisee of the brand. 

Following the sale of his father’s locations to corporate, Morrow continued to work for the company as its vice president of retail operations, before purchasing his own Grease Monkey store in 2021. By June 2023, Morrow become a member of Grease Monkey’s largest franchisee group.

Following a signed agreement that will transfer seven stores to Oilex, the company now operates 23 Grease Monkey stores. It has plans to further its expansion efforts throughout Colorado, Arizona, and Utah.
